A brief impression of another annual 'long biking weekend'... Again in the beautiful and biker - friendly surroundings of the Vosges (F), Jura (F), Eifel (D) and Luxembourg

Day 1

August 25th 2005, 625 km
Nieuwegein - Maastricht - Luik Luxembourg - Nancy - Luneville - St.Dié - Col du plafond - Martimpre (Gerardmere).

Pouring rain all day... not much for photographs, luckily we find good shelter in the Vosges at:

AUBERGE DES DEUX ETANGS. 26 Col de Martimpré.

As usual when we're travelling; no problem to find a safe and dry shelter for our bikes...

Pictures above, beautiful morning, early departure. Bright and sunny although all of yesterdays' water still has to evaporate in the air...

Martimpre (Gerardmere) - Col de la Schlucht - Route de la Craite - Grand Ballon - Cernay - Belfort - Sochaux - N437 - Morteaux - Pontallier - N5 - Les Rousses - D437 - Morez -
La Cure - Switzerland (Lake Geneva) - Arzier - Col du Marchairuz - Lac des Jeoux - Vallorbes - St.Point Lac (t/o Malbuisson)
